Halloween has always been my favorite holiday and over the years I've put on some super fun costumes - especially during my days at Tulane in New Orleans (I even dressed as a stuffed po-boy saaaamwhich). So when my good friend Meg decided to throw her hubby David a Halloween themed 50th - well, the deck was stacked in favor of a ridiculously fun night. When the invite came and we were asked to dress as our favorite rock and roll icon, it was GAME-ON! I became Bono (circa "Achtung Baby" - fly glasses and all) and rolled with a hybrid camera/mic stand - the perfect accessory to capture all the creative costumes in the room - especially the hosts Meg and David who were better versions of Cher and Gregg Allman than the real thing!
Event producer Joseph St. Cyr of Jospeh Todd Events designed the party at Artbeam with a perfect blend of sophistication and rock star playfulness. Frost Lighting turned the place into a full on rock concert. With 3 versions of Slash, 2 versions of Axl Rose, 2 versions of Stevie Nicks, 2 versions of Ginger Spice, and one and only ONE version of the great Freddie Mercury - this party had it all!
We all took a walk on the wild side especially when ultimate cover band, The Spazmadics took the stage and sent us all into a frenzy - so much so that we couldn't contain ourselves and had to jump onstage to sing along with the band. The rock and roll spirit was alive and well and David's love for his friends gave the party an indescribable and absolutely unforgettable feeling. Just take a look at the energy and vibe below - enjoy!
